1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Issue Pilot ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
Issue Pilot is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) application that integrates with Slack and GitHub to convert Slack conversations into GitHub issues using AI-powered summarization technology.
2. Account Registration and Security
To use Issue Pilot, you must:
- Have a valid Slack workspace with administrative permissions to install applications
- Have a GitHub account with appropriate repository access
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the OAuth authentication process
- Maintain the security of your Slack and GitHub accounts
- Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
3. Service Description
Issue Pilot provides the following functionality:
- Integration with Slack workspaces to access message threads
- AI-powered summarization of Slack conversations using Google's Gemini technology
- Automatic creation of GitHub issues based on summarized content
- User configuration options for default repositories and settings
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
4.1 Pricing Plans
Issue Pilot offers the following subscription tiers:
- Free Plan: $0/month - 5 Issues per month per workspace
- Starter Plan: $39/month (or $31/month billed annually) - 100 Issues per month per workspace
- Growth Plan: $79/month (or $63/month billed annually) - 500 Issues per month per workspace
- Enterprise Plan: Custom pricing - Unlimited Issues, multiple workspaces, dedicated support
4.2 Payment Terms
All fees are in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise specified. Payment is due at the beginning of each billing cycle. We use third-party payment processors and do not store your payment information directly.
4.3 Automatic Renewal
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You authorize us to charge your payment method for renewal fees.
4.4 Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers to paid plans. Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the initial payment. Annual subscriptions are pro-rated for unused months if cancelled within the first 30 days. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable.
4.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify our pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will maintain their current pricing for the duration of their current billing cycle.
5. Usage Limits and Fair Use
Each subscription plan includes specific usage limits as outlined in Section 4.1. You agree to:
- Use the Service only for legitimate business purposes
- Not exceed your plan's monthly issue creation limits
- Not attempt to circumvent usage limits through technical means
- Not use automated scripts or bots to artificially inflate usage
- Not share access credentials with individuals outside your organization
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate fair use policies or attempt to abuse the Service.
6. Data Privacy and Security
6.1 Data Collection
Issue Pilot accesses and processes:
- Slack message content from threads you explicitly choose to convert
- GitHub repository information and access tokens
- User authentication data from Slack and GitHub OAuth flows
- Usage statistics and metadata for service improvement
6.2 Data Usage
We use your data exclusively to:
- Provide the core functionality of converting Slack threads to GitHub issues
- Process messages through AI summarization services (OpenAI)
- Improve and maintain the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
6.3 Data Retention
We retain minimal data necessary for service operation. Slack message content is processed in real-time and not permanently stored on our servers. User configuration data and OAuth tokens are retained for the duration of your account.
6.4 Third-Party Services
Issue Pilot integrates with:
- Slack: For accessing workspace messages and posting notifications
- GitHub: For creating and managing issues in your repositories
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
6.5 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure OAuth authentication flows, and regular security audits. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
7.1 Our Property
Issue Pilot, including all software, algorithms, designs, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.
7.2 Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to your Slack messages, GitHub issues, and any content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to access, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
7.3 AI-Generated Content
Issue summaries generated by our AI are derivative works based on your original content. You own the output, but acknowledge that AI-generated summaries may not be perfect and should be reviewed before use.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or harmful content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
- Scrape, mine, or harvest data from the Service
- Use the Service to infringe on others' intellectual property rights
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices from the Service
- Use the Service in a manner that violates Slack's or GitHub's terms of service
9. Service Availability and Support
9.1 Uptime
We strive to maintain 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.
9.2 Support
- Free Plan: Community support via email
- Starter & Growth Plans: Priority email support with 48-hour response time
- Enterprise Plan: Dedicated support with custom SLA
9.3 Service Modifications
We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes that materially affect functionality.
10. Termination
10.1 By You
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that time.
10.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Abuse or misuse the Service
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your configuration data within 30 days. GitHub issues created through the Service will remain in your repositories.
11. Disclaimers and Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We specifically disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated summaries
- Warranties that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted
- Warranties regarding third-party services (Slack, GitHub, OpenAI)
You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies and should be reviewed before use in production environments.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ISSUE PILOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
Our total liability for all claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory upon which the claim is based, including breach of contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other basis.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Issue Pilot, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Content you submit through the Service
- Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
14.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to seek informal resolution. We commit to working in good faith to resolve disputes.
14.2 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
15.4 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
15.5 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
15.6 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, natural disasters, or failures of third-party services.
15.7 Export Compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country.
